Katharine's Writer's Block

Writing is my lifelong passion.

​

The first story I remember writing was some kind of Scooby-Doo mystery back in first or second grade. This work is unfortunately lost to time, but writing has been something I have always wanted to do. 

​

I've pursued many outlets and opportunities geared towards this interest, like creative writing classes and a yearbook elective, blogging, and contributing to the university publication. I graduated from West Virginia State University in 2016 with a four-year degree concentrated in English education. Until 2020, I tutored writing online as a side job but it's more of a pleasure to help other writers grow. Currently, I publish lessons and advice in the blog section. 

 

My current and future ambitions include working full-time and growing as a writer any way I can.

To share some other generalities, I am a West Virginia native who lives outside of Charleston. My general employment experiences include babysitting/childcare, retail, food service, and office work.

My other hobbies, interests, and life events include: 

• Newlywed/married life, home-owning, and a little family planning!

• Being a cat-parent

• Cooking and gardening

• yoga and being active

• Selling stuff on Mercari.

• Spending time with my family and friends.

• Collecting "Dad rock" vinyl and Peanuts keepsakes.
